Question regarding 6045

Hi Roger,
Is the Tunze nanostream 6045 a new design? IIRC, there were problems with the older generation of nanostream; has the 6045 addressed these issues? Can 6045 controlled by 7095? Finally, does the 6045 accept a different "face" for wider flow?

Thx!

All the issues were addressed with technical changes that were completed by January 2008. The new 6045 just adds a mechanical flow adjustment that is a new feature for a propeller pump, you can slide an adjustment lever and change the flow from roughly 450-1150gph. There is no wider face and it cannot be connected to a 7095, only the 6055 nano stream is controllable by the 7095.

They are physically smaller than the Stream 2, all Nano stream models are the same size, roughly the size of a raquetball. The Stream 2 are roughly softball sized.

One last question Roger. Are all 6045 and 6055 with the titanium shaft? If not, until approximately what time these pump came out with the titanium shaft? Or how do you differentiate pumps with the titanium shaft and those without?

I believe almost every 6055 brought in has had the titanium alloy shaft as it was an early change for that model and the 6025/6045 have used it since 2007.

Since June 2007 all Nano streams have the titanium alloy shaft, there were only 200 6055's every made with the stainless steel shaft and only 50 came to the US, so a stainless steel shaft 6055 is very rare.
