Hello folks!

After waiting a LONG year I finally got a BTA!!!! It's a flame BTA and hopefully I can keep it happy and healthy.

I got the anemone because the perc clowns were hosting a frogspawn and getting stung especially when mouthing the coral. So I traded the 26 head frogspawn for a 7" flame BTA! :).

Within 5 minutes the male was right up to it and investigating. Within 3 hours the pair were sucking on it and laying down in it! So cute! Lol. Well, that's my time from Intro to host. Three hours!!!

What's yours?

Should be interesting ha ha ha.

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised :). I was worried the nem would get stressed due to the hosting but hasn't seemed to bother it yet. It readily takes food and it is opening more. Tentacles aren't bubbly but heard it's not relevant.

30 seconds for Onyx babies into a gigantea. Don't believe what people say about tank raised clowns and nems.

Clarks and BTA was immediate.

Non percs and BTA. 1 pair Never.
other pair. One weekend
Skunks and magnifica 30 seconds.

My Allard's clown has taken to both a LTA and a Malu immediately - basically as soon as my hand was out of the tank...

My Clark's have taken to BTA's immediately...

My Ocellaris pair took a few hours to move into BTA's...

My Skunk's took a couple of days to move into their magnificent anemone...

Clowns took a few seconds to move into my magnifica; still waiting for the other pair in a second tank to notice a BTA.

I have had my clowns trying to get to rbta while still in the bag acclimating. Some are quicker than others. If I need to catch my clowns all I have to do is place the anemone in a container and they go with it.

When I bought my last pair of tank raised Ocellaris they immediately dove into my Magnifica upon releasing them in the tank.

Tomato clowns and RBTA took less than an hour for me. I think that anytime you get a native host/clown pairing it speeds things up quite a bit.

My one clownfish took months, when it finally did it was eaten but he's only one of many. My haddoni is on a murderous rampage. To date and all in the last 4 or 5 days he's gotten my blood shrimp, my clown fish and just today got my Fox Face which was killed than spit back out. I'm on the hunt for a clown to hopefully call it home but nervous at the same time because this thing is mean.

That's insane!!!!! I'm hoping mine eats my six line wrasse ha ha ha.

I need to borrow that nem off ya!

I'm afraid to stick my hand in there, he might swallow me whole then cough me back up. I knew it was a risk putting it in but I'm as shocked as anybody else that it's done that much damage so quickly. I have a pic of it swallowing my Fox face, I'll see if I can post it up a little later on, you almost can't tell but a close look will show that stupid fish's face.

Here yas go, one pic is when he got it and the other you can see the Fox Face being devoured.
