So I have a possibly dumb question regarding the difference in PAR between XR30 and XR15, but I'm going to ask it anyways.
As I understood it, an XR15 is essentially just one half of an XR30 and that they should have essentially the same PAR, just the 30 would have wider coverage. But looking at the G4 PAR charts on Ecotech's website, I see that the XR15 maxes out at 151 PAR, whereas the XR30 Pro maxes out at 242 PAR, a significant increase.
So my question is, why the difference if the pucks are the same? Is it simply the difference between one puck vs two pucks blending together? If so, why would anyone buy the XR15 over the XR30? Is the XR15 only designed for non-SPS or extremely shallow tanks?
