The power supplies are greatly improved compared to the original. They are reasonably diminutive.

Towards the end of the Gen3 they had switched from the big white brick to a much smaller meanwell driver

They do not for this smaller power supply. I asked them about it as I have a bunch of XR15s I need longer power cords for.

Gotta say, I just installed three gen 4 pro radions for a client yesterday and while the lights themselves are awesome, I hate the new plastic power supply blocks. They look and feel cheap as hell compared to the nice white metal power supplies that the older generations had. Plus the new power supplies don't have any mounting brackets or holes to attach them to the inside of a tank stand. I mean come on ecotech, you guys kinda let us down with this one. If we're expected to pay premium prices for ecotech products I expect to continue to be wowed by premium products. These new power supplies feel like a Chinese knock off product.

I wish I had the newer sleeker, smaller power supplies for my gen 3's.
I hate the amount of space the old boxy ones take up.
You are right about the newer smaller power supplies not having mounting holes, but a little diy can easily fix that.

I agree the size of the old power supply boxes could be a bit of a pain in tight areas but they were still so much nicer looking and actually felt like something that s worth the money.

Just finished install the G4 pro and removed the G3 Pro. From what I see the light spread is HUGE. My whole room even in the ceiling has more light lol. Tank looks amazingly brighter and less dark areas.
As for the glare, yes there is a little because the lens bubble out. But it really doesn't bother me after looking at the tank for awhile u actually forget that there even is a glare.
Totally worth up the upgrade. Time to sell the G3 Pro now.

I've been trying to program the gen 4 radions for a client and I've got to ask. How come EcoSmart live will work on an apple IPad but won't work on an iPhone? It's the exact same apple OSX 10.0.2 operating System. Any thoughts?
