Rare Anemone at Ki's

That's it! I bought a lottery ticket tonight, and when I win the big millions I'm going to buy this anemone. When I get it home I'm going to take a razor to it and cut it into three pieces. Sell one on ebay, give one to firefighter, and keep the third one for myself. Then we all will see.

Perhaps you should practice this a few times on some rare valonia and rare xenia first. Then move up to a regular rose anenome, but make sure you get one from that guy that sells them on ebay for like 20 bucks but charges $70 for shipping.

That does it... I've been mulling (pun absolutely intended) over the idea of auctioning my mullet on ebay. I think I'm gonna do it. ;)

Na, just cut it and throw it back in the tank. They practically heal over night. As soon as mine splits naturally I'm going to photo-document myself cutting one of the clones in half and also document the healing process afterwards. It'll be in the Anemone and Clownfish forum when I do.

This I gotta see

I've been looking for some of that. Thanks for sharing that. Those deep water corals are difficult to obtain. I hope I'll be able to win cause the most I can spend on that right now is $2700. Hopefully some wealthy collector won't come along and nab it up.

:eek1:

...Ya know,I have been looking for a website or just a page of this Ki's guy.If I was in the know about rare or unusual sea critters I sure would have a site trying to make some monies on my investments;)

OK, last one. (Brian at home saying to himself ââ"šÂ¬Ã…"œThank God!!!!ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚)

Are any of the quotes you listed dishonest or fraudulent? No one can dispute whether it is rare or not but out of the 80,000 or so members on both sites not one person can say they have seen one. You discounted this in one of your post however I think this is important and you even stated in one of your replies,

But, the huge number of people who thinks the auction is dishonest should tell you something.

This being the case does that mean that because of the huge number of members that havenââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t seen one like it before that it must be rare? I guess the important question is what is considered rare and who decides? Is rarity something that can be calculated, or is it an opinion, or is it the demand?

You are bidding on an exceptionally rare bright orange bubble anemone.

If you think our minimum price is too high, than you donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t know how rare these really are.

Again who decides what is rare? And I agree he has not proven it one way or another, but I ask you again how would he go about doing this? Maybe he doesnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t know how to prove it and needs some guidance.

This will be the focal point of your tank.

The color is more brilliant than anything else available for salt water fish tanks.

These two statements are purely opinion on his part and should be seen as such.

Originating from the republic of Palau in Micronesia, these are a once in a lifetime find.

This is probably the only statement that disturbs me and IMO needs clarification. If this is something he was told by the supplier he purchased it from then he should say as much. If it is something he just made up then shame on him.

Based purely on the eBay auction, I would have come to the same conclusion that everyone else who has not seen the animal did. But again what is your opinion of the replies of persons here in Denver that have seen it? Should these be considered in your hypothesis or just discounted as some grand conspiracy? I canââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t say for sure if the others he has supposedly sold these to would have purchased off of eBay. I guess if he sells this on that would be a good indication. But how do we know he didnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t tell them the same thing he wrote on eBay?

I agree that a good pic showing the actual orange color would help his case. I still find it disturbing that people on this site will believe persons that say it is one thing without seeing it and based on some pics, but just discount the post of persons that have actually seen the animal. Again I ask why that is?

And why is no one questioning the other eBay listings I posted earlier. Does everyone think that an orange or green monti cap is rare?

Thank you Mike, at last someone who is speaking from the facts and not from their emotions, we should joust more often.

Like a wise man once said "Don't let the facts get in the way of a good opinion".

Ki has recently started a website fragshop.com but it is still in the developmental stage (everything shows as 'not in stock')

No rare orange anemones, rare deep sea (bright) coral skeletons, rare alien life forms or aluminum fish hats for sale (yet...)

I decide what is rare. I have some very rare deep sea xenia for sale.

lol thats is to funny for words DEEP SEA, NOT DYED that looks like a regular finger coral to me.

*Edit* I am tired and cranky.... Reminding myself to be nice.

Back to building my anti alien shelter.

Holycrap guys, you are still at it.
Joe, you said that was the last one.:hammer:
Heidi, put Joe to bed.
I think this is fastest growing thread I have ever seen.
Lots of you looked at one of my last one's but very few responded, this one is a freaking fire with lots of dry, dry brush.
Nice to see Brandon back in the loop. Hope the shelter is coming along well.
Good night and I am sure I will see all this stuff start up in the morning again.
Brian

If I place my *rare* orange bubble tip anemone next to my *rare* pink golf ball coral, would they clash?

I could charge admission and swear to everyone that "Objects in the tank are rarer than they appear..."
