I know that razor fish might not be fully classified as pipefish but the way it eats and behaves does look like pipefish (except that they stand vertically).
One thing, the common name razor fish is usually used for a group of wrasses that live over the sand flats, they are sometimes kept in aquariums, but not many are very colorful. The common name for piso-piso here is shrimp fish. This is important because most species razorfish are easy to keep, while shrimp fish are very different and usually difficult to maintain.
thanks guys, yes it's shrimp fish, I got misled by the LFS that sold it to me (calling it razor fish).
I was also under the impression that they are much harder to keep than typical pipefish, but possible. Actually only reason I got them is after talking to the guys at the Shedd that they have kept theirs on frozen brime & mysis and lived for > a year.
