recommended anemones amount?

I have a 57g tank with one BTA. I was wondering what is the max amount of nems I can get? I have one clown, but I am looking to get one more next week.

You could probably get 3 BTAs in there if you keep your water clean.

thanks bradleym. since I have gotten into this hobby, I experienced bad and good times with my tank. lessons learn, always be sure before you make a change to your tank because the residents in the tank could pay a heffy price with not knowing the effects.

I've seen tanks full of nems but remember they can eat other fish. So get alot and you can be stuck with clowns and damsels

If you stay on regular water changes you can keep several in there,I had 7 in a 20 long for about a year and half,but I was doing 5 gallon water changes every week.I broke the 20 l down and sold 4 of them before setting up my 120.

No condy,they were all btas.They were under a 175 mh,10k bulb.

I have seen tanks full of nems just remember they are fish eating machines.Be careful what fish you put in the tank. one wrong move and its dinner. mine like expensive fish lol

Nope the one too the left looked like it. I have tons of zenia and GBTA so I know the difference

A lot depends on the species. Anemones like BTA's which asexually reproduce and stay relatively small can be kept in large colonies. Anemones like H. magnifica which can get VERY large and have specific lighting and flow requirements should probably only be kept singly.

The interesting thing about anemones, they either THRIVE or DIE. There seems to be very little middle ground. If conditions are right and they thrive, they can get very large very quickly. Growth can be managed somewhat by limiting feeding, but some of this may not be in your control because anemones will eat anything in the water column. If you feed your tank AT ALL an anemone will get some of whatever you put in.
