Wow very nice. You could single handled deflate the price by fragging up your piece hahaha. The price of gold is going down a new vein has been found!!

My piece is doing good no crazy growth yet, but I accidentally fragged my frag.. so I have a small pool and a twig growing separately.

Getting a red dragon frag in a few weeks. I am curious Chris, is your fabulous colony holding true red color or is it more purple?

Awesome growth :D.

I'd also love to know how to turn it red lol. Here's a growth shot of my red *cough* purple *cough* dragon from dec 5th to feb 7th

what a beautiful colony. would love to see a top down shot of that red monster colony. the red is probably a underdeveloped purple

I've giving it high light and medium flow. Red as red can be for me. I can only say the frag I bought from CITR was only 3/4" and it was red to begin with.

I sold a frag months back and that individual says it's slowly growing but not as red as my colony.

I have a really dumb question.

Is the "Red Dragon" a.awi, a.echinata, a.turaki or something else?

Also normally you see them in tan, brown or a kinda green. How did this species become bright red?

not a dumb question at all since it hasn't been id'd yet. it's a walindii. it turns red when the zooanthella dwindles in numbers partly as a result our low nutrient tanks. I heard there was blue and purple before, but the colonies died before it could be circulated, but you will see a different colored one in the near future.

Thanks Soy. I've noticed that its cousins a.awi, a.carduus and a.echinata all come up in LiveAquaria->Divers Den. Wouldn't a colony look nice...
