Hello all. I got this coral back in August. It was a single stalk aroung 1/2 long. HI wanted to share a picture with you what it looks like already.

Its not a great picture. It is nowhere near as white as the pics make it out to be. I took this with my phone. All of the white tips are new growth over the past week.

that is sick growth....my frag came a little brown from the LFS and has been pretty stagnant for months....it has grown a nice base though so Im hoping branches anyday now.

Very nice growth. I have had similar growth on mine. Got it from a club member as two 1/2" sticks and it has grown into a nice colony. BTW if you place it in a little less light it will get the green body color back.

Nice growth.

Mine has gone nuts as well, once they get established they really show the growth quickly.

I got a 1/2" twig from a fellow reefer 3 mo ago. I was hoping it would turn more red b/c most of my SPS are green I waqnted more color. This thing just will not grow. Its a 34 Solana and its 10" below a 150W MH, moderate flow. Cant wait till mine looks like yours. Any idea on how to get more red?

Lower in the tank and they usually do not start the growth spurt until they encrust the plug or base IMO.

iam waiting for my little frag to grow. i have it for a week tomorrow. yay. i see some tiny tiny polyps around the bigger one today, i hope that is the sign of growing.

Nice growth. I am hoping my RP lives at this point. It is getting some white stringy stuff on the under side of so of the branches. It is just a little frag with it hole life ahead of it :(

great growth!!!

mine its the 2nd attemp for the red planet...fist time was about half an inch by month grow¡ng, but some day it decided to die while everything in my tank was doing great...

this 2nd one frag, became to lose tissue for all over the incrusting base...i quickly put some cyanoacrilate to it and the lose stoped, but now 2 months has pased and cant see any growth...i hope to see mine like your colony soon...

I am experiencing this... once the base grew over the plug finally two new shoots are coming up. Have had it for 3 months.

I've got it under approx. 340 PAR in the middle of my tank, its bright red/pink, only green on the underside where its shaded.

Most of my sps are growing at this rate. I don't have a ton of them. A few pocciporas, a green slimer, hydoporas, a few birdsnests, and a few different tri color acros. Funny thing is all I'm using is t5's. My water isn't what they call perfect sps water either. I'm a firm believer that you need nutrients in your water. If I ever try to run carbon everything gets mad and retracts. This is a mixed reef with a few leathers, zoos, mushrooms, alot of lps and all of these sps in a 90 gallon. I better knock on wood here soon before I jinx myself!

My Red Planet came in as a really nice large frag, 2" with multiple branches coming off main stalk. Interestingly enough it has turned mostly purple with the greenish inner body of the branches. I have it low and pretty far from the main/direct MH light. My intention was to have a nice balance of the red and green that this coral has when in lower light. It is super healthy and happy with relatively slow growth but good encrusting. It is such a deep, deep red...that it is really purple. I have not seen any pictures of the Red Planet that are as dark as mine...I just find in interesting and I am curious how it will go as it grows and tables. I run a single Reeflux 250w SE bulb with 4 T5's over a 3x3x22" cube. I don't have a ton of light over this tank though colors on most sps are great. I have a couple of other acros that should be blue and they are definitely green. Something is shifting some of the colors in my tank. Its not a bad thing, but curious.
