Cool thanks Willie.
Now what is your opinion on the polario? I saw your review on marine depot, but would like your opinion now after a few months of use.
I am trying to get the cheapest way of wave making that will get it done on a tank this big.
:lol:I am almost ashamed to tell this:lol:
a few months back it stopped working,I panicked,I e-mailed MD raising h**l,told them I wanted to retract me review and didn't want people thinking I was happy with the piece of s**t that should last longer than 3 months, they were extremely nice and didn't get upset at me,they contacted the manufacture for the warranty.....while waiting on the manufacture to contact me,I noticed the polario had a fuse on it,the fuse was blown:lol:......after I apologized to MD for being an A$$ ....the manufacturer contacted me,I told them what happened, they said that if it gets a lot of build up on the prop,it overloads the controller and blows the fuse, its a safety feature to protect the pump motor......it was kinda cruddy,I cleaned it up good and replaced the fuse,it's working like a charm again.........if it'd had an actual problem,I don't know how the manufacturer would have been, but they contacted me within a day or two after MD contacted them, maybe their customer support is ok too
the fan in my controller is a little noisy, the controller could use more features but it does what its supposed to.....it loses its setting during a power outage, that I don't like....it has a delay between directions and a soft start, the GPH is variable,it doesn't create waves, there's too much lag time between directions, but it does change the water flow direction rapidly........it's working great in my 8 ft long tank.....in the 4 ft that I had it in,I had trouble getting the placement just right, too high,it sucked in air,too low it kept the sand stirred up...it is kinda big and not too pretty to look at,it makes a slight humming noise while running but my lighting fans are louder...... it moves a huge amount of water
the magnet mount is dangerously strong,it came packaged with a 1/2" thick piece of rubber between the magnet halves
