Reef Brite LED's - Now Taking Orders!

Is it necessary to do some type of lighting acclimation when switching from PC bulbs to Reefbrite LED's on a complete LED set-up?

Yes, either have the LED's much higher than normal and slowly lower them. Reduced photo period and slowly increase it or use some kind of screening in layers which you can slowly remove over time (layers of window screen, pull a layer a week kind of thing...)

@vdubfiend- Thank you so much for posting the picture of the Reef Brite attached to the Sunpower T5 fixture! That was exactly what I was hoping that I would be able to do with my all blue actinic Reef Brite when I got the Sunpower!

One question though, were you just able to unscrew the two screws that come with the Sunpower and attach the brackets that came with the Reef Brite? Meaning not having to buy additional screws or having to drill holes in the Reef Brite bracket?

Thank you so much!

Haven't been to this thread in quite a while. Just wondering if anyone has disassembled one of these yet?? If yes, any pics of the "guts"?

I have 2 of the 48"ers over my tank and I'm kinda curious what the insides looks like.

Jeremy, any word on a restock of the Reefbrites? I ordered a 48" 50/50 over a week ago and was told they were out of stock.

Hi, Jeremy. I am interested in ordering an rb strip to my 4 T5 setup. I am currently running, 2 blue+ and 2 Fiji Purple. I love how it looks. Wich rb would be better? 50/50 or white? I am looking for the shimmer but I don't wanna lose my color from the T5. Thank You.

Jeremy, it appears that the shipment of Reefbrites either didn't come in or what I had ordered didn't show. Any updates on pending orders of back ordered Reefbrites?

We did get a shipment but did not receive everything we were expecting to get. I'm hoping to have the remainder of them here by the middle of next week.

I think the 1 x 50/50 and 1 x blue would be a good start for you to see how you like it. It's going to be a little more on the blue side, but I still think you would be happy with it. You could also try 1 x white and 2 x blue to see how that looks.

I ended up going with 1x50/50 and 1xblue and i can honestly say that i see what all the hype is about. Shimmer, deeper/more vibrant colors on LPS, increased growth on SPS, and a great overall look are all things I've noticed since switching to the RB's. To anyone on the fence about these, highly recommended! And by the way, you were right, the 1 blue and 1 50/50 is a touch on the blue side, but when i added the small t5 strip i have, it blends perfectly still with plenty of shimmer. Love the look, thanks so much again for the guidance.

hi jeremy - the site refers to 12" units, but i found no mention of these on the ReefBrite site. are the units exactly 12" OD? what is the wattage? how do they compare to the 12.5" ecoxotic panorama module?

I know RB and Neptune were talking for a little while, however I'm not sure if anything ever come of that. I do know that ReefBrite's new power supply they are coming out with is going to have a 0-10vdc input for it.
