Reef meeting/frag swap DEC!!!

Ade is correct I am looking to have a meet at my place on Dec 16. There is going to be food, beer, pool xbox. Also going to do a frag swap everybody bring something to put into the swap. I am going to try to setup a surge tank to demo how to make and use a homemade surge device. If anybody wants they can bring some sodas or chips. I would like to get a head count of how many can make it so if you could please respond to this thread. I am going to do from noon until we drop come early and have fun. I will post directions if needed. Also Please have a D and D or you can crash at my place if you drink alot. We don't want anybody getting hurt.
 
Steve , I plan on making it. You forgot about your 210 gallon tank loaded with large SPS colonies. Steve also has a fuge, and a sweet frag tank. For those that were at his meeting last year, much has changed. He has transformed his basement with the 210 gallon tank, big screen TV with X box, Bar and pool table. Should be lots of fun. Put me down for 1 person who plans on making it as I know you want to know how many want to attend. :D Michael R
 
Steve, I too would like to be counted in. I have been looking for your post ever sense i met you and ade at Sam's. I doubt I'll have any frags but I will have cash, chips and soda.

I live in Dublin, will be going north anyway so if anyone on the way would like a ride you are more than welcome, someone that knows where Steve lives would be great also. I also make a pretty good DD. Just let me know.

Any idea yet on a time?

Hubblex, how is your tank doing? Steve told me that he was starting at 12 noon and going till 12 night or later if someone can't drive home after the fun. Michael R :D

I have football but not b-ball for the xbox360.

Directions from Roanoke are take 460 orange ave toward lynchburg. Turn right on Gus nick's rd. That will turn into 24 stay on 24 until you get to Goodview rd turn right. Take Goodview until it ends into horseshoe bend make a left on horseshoe bend then about 50 ft make a right on diamond hill rd. Follow that about a mile or less and turn right into virginia woods drive take the next light on virginia woods drive(it is a circle). Then take the next left on colony ct. I am the 2nd house on the right from the corner.

Mike, appreciate you asking. Everything is moving right along; I added the other 250W MH, modified a couple of MJ 1200's and replaced the Mag 700's with 1200's on the closed loops. I'm getting that toilet flush look like you mentioned now. Just about to get rid of the hair algae...what a PITA that has been. Increasing the flow, hand picking, watching the light cycle, keeping up with the water parameters and listening to you guys have all contributed to me maintaining my composure, taking it slow and not going postal...it is appreciated. I purchased a three of the 20,000K MH's (great deal) from Ade and met him and Steve at Sam's we talked just enough about Steve's "play" room to make me wonder what in the world this guy does for fun...hahaha. so it's going to take an act of God to keep me from checking it out. Really hope to see a bunch of folks there with what I'm sure will be some great stuff.

matt, the sailfin i have is one of the very few things in my tank that didn't come from you. you are more than welcome to the ride, do you know where steve lives? if not, we could no doubt put him in the gps. what time would you like to be picked up? other than going to steve's i have nothing else planned, so just give me a time to be at your place and i'll be there. ok with you if anyone else would like a ride to meet at your house?Thanks...mark

CWebHokie, yep i have the space. I have an older 4 door car so if 4 people went we would have plenty of room, 5 would be just a bit tighter but very doable. right now it's you, matt and me. as long as matt is ok to use his place as a gathering point then we are good to go.

Thanks to everyone that has posted. It looks like we will have about 15 people so far. Some of you may have seen that I also posted on the Richmond forum. I am hoping to have a real good turn out.

About the frag swap if everybody brings something then everyone will go home with something.

As posted I am going to demo a surge device at the meet. If anyone has other suggestions on topics to discuss or things they would like to see just post here.

I look forward to seeing you all on the 16th.
 
Is there any one going by Lynchburg that I could follow? I work at Paw, and do not get off until 3 On saturday. So any help would be appreciated.
