Reef2Go CUC

Anyone have any thoughts on this CUC? I already got a small CUC from ReefCleaners and some Trubos locally. I've been thinking of beefing it up some more, and saw this:

Seems like a lot of crabs. I'm also not sure about any potential downsite to he lettuce nudi. Does it need LOTS of food? Is it toxic if it dies?

I've heard bad things from them and the last batch that I got from a firend was with them and none of the criters survived.

Do a google search "reef2go" and you will see what I mean.

Tom, that's too bad. Any thoughts on the composition of the offered CUC? Seems like a lot of critters.

Ben, I like the composition and make up vs reefcleaners. Looks like the reefs2go has 2 times more hermit crabs and less ceriths, nassarius, nerites. When you do the math at $60 including shipping for 103 critters... its 58cts each. Wish reefcleaners had the same deal. Price match? If reefcleaners matched I would split the order with you. Don't need the nudi or emeralds.

RC won't 2-day ship most of this stuff. You'd have to pay for overnight, I think. This could be the foundation for Tom's experience of everything dying.

That does seem like a lot of critters. plus when you consider it will cost you $75 after shipping i think you could get more for less from reefcleaners then if you wanted a few crabs you could pick some up locally. one of the 40g quick crews comes with more snails and ships for free, you save 40 bucks and that would buy you plenty of crabs.

Shipping is free, so if I got another 30 gallon quick crew (I have one already), it would leave me with $30 left over to buy some crabs. I'd guess locally that hermits ar about $3-$4 and emeralds are closer to $8, but I haven't checked. I probably wouldn't be able to get everything listed, but I'm not sure I need it all. I've never seen white leg hermits locally, but I haven't looked either. Same goes for the lettuce, which looks like a neat CUC member.

the blue leg and scarlet hermits are 1.99 at caesers and the emeralds are 4.99 last time i checked

Hmm, that's better than I remember. Couple emeralds and 10 hermits is probably plenty of CUC too.

Also, Grant I just noticed your sig says ATI 6-bulb. Did you ditch the Tek fixture? How high of the 12" frag tank do you have the light?

Still have it but 4 bulb just wasnt enough for frags from my dt. Everything was browning out so I had to upgrade. I have it about 8" above the tank.

What bulb combo are you running in it? I've got a 6-bulb T5 also and am playing with color combinations still.
