I'm setting up a 340g with a 155 sump, total water volume will prolly be around 400g or so, considering LR and sump not being filled all the way up.
Skimmer needs to be external. I really want the ATB large, but found out that for some reason, they charge like $500 more for the external - i dont get it... price of internal is comparable to BK 300 deluxe but external costs alot more.
I posted in another thread asking for comparisons and someone recommended I go with a 250 PRO.
What are the opinions here? anybody had an ATB? they are conical, and really make sense as far as calming the bubble body as bubbles rise. The airstar pumps seem to be very good and dont draw alot of watts while drawing alot of air and very fine bubbles.
However, the price difference is around 1000 more for the ATB and is abit hard to justify for me unless the preformance and ease of use is better. of course 100ish more watts will add up with the skimmer running all the time, so cost margin will narrow with time passing.
Please help me out but only if you have experience or know info about the ATBs compared to a 250 PRO.
Thanks!!!
