i recently picked up a 90 gallon and its needed work to say the least. scraped off the coraline, redid the silicone, buffed out the scratches...but this damn overflow is an eye sore in the tank. calcium buildup that still wont come off after 2 days and a wierd design are also pushing me toward wanting to replace it. is it possible? what site sells internal overflows?
in this pic you can see how to water flows over the lip into this funky cave slit area? found alot of gunk down there....took a fair amount of power washing and still couldnt remove all of it. is this common on other overflows? really just wanna rip this thing out.
