Rescaping questions

So our 37g has only been running for 6 months now. We have rescaped it many times and we are typically happy with the results. Well we have both grown tired of the "wall" look. The trouble is, that the tank from front to back is only 12" and this is pretty limiting. I've been searching and looking at fts all over the web for ideas.

We thought about cascading both from the left and rt of the tank. Actually leaning the rock against the glass, and tapering it down in the middle.

How many of you lean rock on the glass?

Is there a nice site to get some aquascaping ideas?

Thx folks!

I have a few pieces leaning on my glass. Just set it in slowly and make sure it has a stable base.

I am actually looking at taking my rock out and doing the foam rock egg crate method to aquascape my tank...you might look into that as well. Please of info in the DIY section.

Yea I actually thought about about foaming the back wall on our BC 14g but didn't.

I don't care for the algae-covered back glass look...and it's a PITA to get back there and clean it properly...the foam back wall would seem to address both of these.

OK..about to go for second 'scape of the day and I'm sure there will be a 3rd when the better-half get's home ;) I don't mind..it's fun.

not only is my rock leaning on the glass but I have close to 200# sitting on the glass.

tip: there's lots of aquascaping threads on RC with pix :artist:

Oh trust me Gary my eyes feel like I've looked at every FTS on RC :hmm4:

Nice to know you're a "leaner"...that gives us a few more options.
