Researching new tank dimensions

I want a 72" Acrylic tank. 150g to 180g. I have a Tunze Wavebox, and research is showing the best overflow would be external 1/2 the length of the tank centered in the back. Because of the external overflow, I will need to look at an 18" width instead of 24". I'm considering SoCal Creations.

Does anyone have a 135R, Dims 72 x 18 x 24?
Comments on the size, does it work good for a mixed reef?
With a Tunze wavebox would 1/2" thickness be ok, or should it be 3/4"?

I really don't want to spend the money on a 30" tall, since it would have to be 3/4".

135R 72 x 18 x 24 *
180S 72 x 18 x 30
150R 72 x 24 x 20
180R 72 x 24 x 24 w/ external o/f, too far from wall.

Thanks
Doug

Personally, I wouldn't give up width. 18' is very little area to work with and you will regret it later. You can also go with an internal overflow in the middle. You won't go wrong with SoCal Creations for tank building, they make very nice tanks.

Thanks. I'll reconsider a 72 x 24 x 24 with internal center o/f.

Any thoughts of acrylic 1/2" vs. 3/4" thickness when using a Tunze wavebox?

in would at least go 24 in the depth. if i did my tank over again i would do 30. more room for corals. as far as thickness manufactors usually go to standard thickness as the tank gets bigger. are you looking for rounded corners or flat. . i do lick the idea of an external overflow.
