At that rate, I don't think you have much to worry about. As long as you aren't running biopellets, and ULNS at the same time
I do run pellets and ULNS. Hence the concern

LOL,
There are no bounds to the places where Sahin lurksOrlando forum Sahin, you must have time on your hands, lol... Probably has to do with those 3 day weekends:dance:
Thanks Perry, I got 3 frags from WWC today and hoping they do well. I think my alk is too high for it to survive (14dkh :/ ). All these water changes with RC have had to high of alk.
Well assuming test kits are actually correct. I would suggest switching to just IO instead of RC, for both lowering the current stats (although I think it should be ok) and later on to prevent swings. Not that I use either much lol, it's been months since my last water change. Tried to do one few weeks ago, but after mixing water was too cloudy (too much CA or Alk so stuff precipitated) so I never used it in the main tank and just did a water change on the frag system instead.
Where are the pictures ! in the thread! I just have to scroll up... figures !
I'm thinking about removing the sand, I feel like it just traps nutrients in it at this point. algae/bacteria always is dusting on top of it ><
I'm just not sure how much would pistol shrimp like thatHe seems to be very keen on digging all the time lol
Yep I also have 5 big rock islands, but unfortunately it is all sitting on eggcrate so will have to pull them out for a minute still to get the crate out. Not a big deal, but just added annoyance lol
Nah, just did it. Did not take the sand out yet. But took the lights and canopy off, took out few big rocks at a time, and pulled out the eggcrate pieces. Knocked few corals of the rocks (well I attach them to small rocks and then to the big rock, so small rocks sometimes come off), but other than that didn't damage any colonies it seems.
I'm sure there will be now a cycle of sorts from all the garbage I stirred up lol, but what else is new. Will start siphoning out the sand over the next few days.
Now to resist temptation to buy 50 more corals right away and just watch things grow![]()
