Like everything else in this hobby, give it a year to two and it will be as abundant as pulsing xenia... or so we hope, ok maybe not that abubdant but I would imagine on a scale that they will be easier to get... They are sweet looking, especially the colored ones. Look at the big "Have To Haves" below, over the past few years All of them are alot easier to come by now a days

Lords
Dendros
Micros
Duncans
Rhizotrochus
What's Next???

Lords- price are still rediculously high unless they are the indo types
Dendros- you do see some here and there but the price are still about $45-90 a polyp depending on sizes of polyp
Micros- no change in price. actually notice an increase
Duncans- wild ones are about $20 or less a polyp. ORA ones are still about $75-100 polyp
Rhizo- maybe the clear and white boring ones, but not the more colorful orange, pink, green, red ones
What's next- your guess is as good as mine

Someone just mentioned on a thread here on the LPS part that they have lifted the ban on exporting acan lords from Australia? That is the first I have heard of it, is it true? If so I wonder what will follow.

It's certainly true in Canada, i'm not sure about in the US. I have an aussie acan colony and 3/4 major reef shops around here have advertised that aussie cites are in. One has already gotten a shipment and another is expcted to arrive soon.

Also its not just Acan lords, some other LPS came in including Duncans. Aussie Acros are expected to arrive sooner or later too.

It's not just the acan lords that are coming in from Australia. Exports of many corals from there have opened up. A lot of the "non-indo" lords that came in recently are Ausie.

Here my latest addition of the "Yellow" tentacles Rhizo Typus !!

I'd love to get a nice rhizo, its next on my list :D

I've seen the plain old white ones but those don't really do much for me I love the colored ones.

I got mine for $400 and I'd say I got a good deal. I have seen some as cheap as $300 but they're completely plain white and very small.

OK...400 qualifies for ridiculous....at least for what you are getting. What you are getting is the bragging right to say I have one and you dont....thats about it.

I LOve mine... They are really a very unique animal.... (I actually traded for mine) But I would without question pay $400+ for one with my colors :) Some people lean more towards the $5polyp items though and that is OK I do wish that this hobby were more affordable.. But some items are just $$$$. Some of the cheapest reefs I have ever seen were the most gorgeous LOL Heck when someone comes to your house and sees your reef do they say "OOhhhh wow that $1500 colony of pink lemonade is amazing" ? no they dont, they say, "Oh look honey its Nemo, wow look at those wavy green star things !" The high dollar items are just for those who can afford it or want to appreciate something that is not as common as the good ol' green star polyps
