Ricky's Reef (120 Gallon)

The tank has been in autopilot mode for a few months and the corals are really taking off.

I took a few top down photos today, I am still rusty as it has been over a year since my last shot and after a few decent shots the lens got wet 😔😔

Corals are looking great Ricky. Growth looks good too. All done with a very simple system. :)

Beautiful tank. How do you like going bare bottom? Any down sides. I'm about to start on a complete rebuild of my 110 rimless and have been thinking about whether it would be easier to maintain as a bare bottom. Thanks.

I like it as I currently have all nine different encrusting mdntipora on the bottom with the idea the whole bottom glass will one day be covered in multiple colors of mdntipora. As far as cleaning goes it makes cleaning detritus very very simple as it will all pile up in one spot and can be siphoned out. The only downfall to bare bottom is having to look at the pile of detritus until my next water change as it usually accumulates the day after a water change.
