Ricordea help

When I got this ric it was almost white with orange rim, it's now starting to turn from lime green to dark green, is the lighter color normal or has it lost zooxanthella

Yeah, need regular light pictures, not actinic. You should also post SG, alk, and nutrient levels with a history of any sharp rise or fall recently.

That is crazy bleached(lost the zoox). Keep it in low light and try to feed it something meaty like a brine shrimp. That has a long way to go before it will be healthy again.

I agree with Jayball, low light and feed it. I would give it mysis instead of brine shrimp because they have more nutrition than brine. Unless you have baby brine with the egg yolk sack still attached.

Thanks for the advice , I moved it to low light and I have been feeding it brine already but I had forgot that I did move it up higher in the tank about 3 weeks ago

My Recordia Florida doubled in size in just a month after bringing it home. It was about the size of a quater at my LFS. Now it's about 2.5 inches across. I've had it now for about 3 months. To my surprise, it spawned a baby over night last night. I found a neon green spore drifting around on the bed this morning. Almost didn't know what it was till I got it out into the light better. Now it's in it's little incubator off to the side and in a shady area. Anyway, Mine -loves- squid. I use the San Francisco Bay Brand Saltwater Multipack 3.5oz frozen pack that has 4 different cube selections. Squid, Omega Brine shrimp, Emerald Entrée (veggie diet), and Marine Cuisine, which has a multitude of different meaty things in it including mysis shrimp etc. I feed it all the meaty types that are offered in the pack but it responds to the squid best. The Emerald Entrée is more for my dwarf angel.

This was taken under 100% white and 100% blue leds. my light is the Current Orbit marine
