WOW Dan....those pics are especially nice.

That Abro is really stunning. I recently got mine to do some growing and put on pink tips....not to the level of yours but its coming. Im happy about that.
 
Hi Dan, those photo are beautiful. They are your best so far. Corals are beautiful and the photos have good White balance. You have perfected the photography aspect as well as the reefkeeping. Look forward to more photos of this calibre. :)

Thanks,I am getting a bit better finally with the camera.Really took me almost 2 years to get any decent shots with any consistently but I have finally figured out some of the settings(slow learner,lol)

The abro is a canary in a coal mine coral IMO.If your tank is very healthy it will look amazing with pink highlights etc but if any coral will loose its color,it will be the first in line.When I got mine it was tan with green polyps so I was quite happy to see it turn out nice.Glad to hear yours is coloring.It take a while so patience is the virtue we all need for this hobby

wow i know its not SPS but that chalice is wild! what do you guys call that piece? we dont have many named or nice chalice over here....

Dan, excellent photos and even better corals!! How long did you had the Tyree pink watermelon and how much light is it getting, how far, etc?

TY.I have had the WM chalice about 2 years and it was a small one eye frag when i acquired.It lives on the very bottom of my DT and gets indirect light from a 250 watt radium and a good amount of vho actinic.
 
Still not happy with FTS photos with either of my DSLR cameras or any of the 2 lenses I own but here ya go.Its the best I can get with my current skills and equiptment
