hey dan just a super random question have a lot of close friends bought the shades of fall off you so I can have a connect when ever I get back in yours is a killer colony. one of atl's best corals
 
Beautiful pics as always! Always looking forward to updates in this thread. I really want to go pick up that Shades of Fall ATL piece. I did not know how much potential that coral had until I saw yours. Theirs doesn't look like that, haha.
 
Dan im trying to mock your system. I bought two lumatek ballast and two radium 250's. Also running two t5 actenics. The light seems so dim. Is this right?

Your perception of the intensity is not something I can say is right or wrong. Lighting is a very personal preference part of reef keeping so opinions are just that, opinions

I have never heard anyone say my lighting seems dim when viewed in person . I have however had them say it is very bright many times, and most are surprised I am running Radiums as the aquarium appears very white with just a hint of blue. This is with 3 lumenarc reflectors and 3 lamps on a 6 foot tank. This is the minimum I would recommend for a 6 foot tank trying to grow acroporas and other reef crest corals. I am running ARO ballasts on the DT but have the same results with a Galaxy adjustable ballast on other systems running in the HQI setting.
