I should have the new light up early next week. The wife is out of town this weekend which means I'm going to redo my aquascape. Then I'll owrk on some sort of structure to hang the fixture from. Lots of projects! I'll definitely post some pics once it's all setup. It is a gorgeous fixture!

Have a good weekend guys!

Craig

Expecting to see some pics soon Craig! As I have learned from EdReef, making promises for pictures and not delivering can open the door to harrassment;) So try your best to follow through! Good luck with your projects!

All you need now Tim is a digital SLR with 100mm macro.

Went to the LFS tonight and had hoped to pick up a Labouti or Lineatus wrasse, but unfortunately they both showed up DOA. Luckily I was able to bring home a Radiant wrasse who looks in great shape! Just moments ago he made it halfway out the tank once the lighting shut down from the actinics to the moonlights. Was quite a sight to see. Will get some shots of him tomorrow.

Yeah and your bank account!
I don't know where you think you are going with that! :D

With the Mh, do you missed having a sand bed?? Must get quite a bit of reflection on the glass flooring?? Also with those wrasse you're planning to get??

Ed, The reflection is not bad at all with the BB. Its really easy to clean and the tank has great flow. Tim is going to custom CNC some type of screen to cover the top for jumpers. He always makes top notch stuff!

And just to confirm, all update pics of tank are just the 4 T5's. NO MH!

The Xr6 is a beast! In a league of its own! The reflectors on it are huge! Just awesome!

I will get some MH shots for you guys, as the coverage is crazy with NO light spill!

The tank looks great!
You both did an awesome job!
It has been fun. Learning experience along the way.

Your build is also great!

Can't wait to see what Tim comes out with for the screen as I will also need one down the road (when I finally get some fins in there :p)

Should have plenty of lights for some crazy growth with Xr6. Tim better start to take progress growth pictures of his corals as 6-12 months down the road will be fun to review

:D

Screen

Screen

I just completed the screen for the tank. It consisted of 1/2" acrlic square rod, bird netting, and fishing line.

I cemented a thin piece of acrylic to the top of the frame to allow the frame to be situated below the top surface of the glass.

Wrasse's

Wrasse's

Just picked up a couple new additions, a Radiant wrasse and a Supermale Flame Wrasse. Both are doing great. I am certainly looking at a couple more wrasses and also contemplating adding a shallow sand bed. Still not sure yet.
