Sfiligoi XR6

Sfiligoi XR6

I have finally installed the new Sfiligoi XR6 2x 250w replacing the 12x54w T5 fixture. The new fixture is awesome although it was a bit of a PITA having to remount the light rails while trying to work around a full tank. Here it is:

Uummmmm nice...!! well worth the wait!! what type of bulb and K rating you are using Tim? Look like a 20K in the picture but this could be due to the WB in the camera...

NOW we need some close-up of your goodies....

Ed, I am using Phoenix 14k bulbs with IceCap ballasts. Need to pick up a better camera than my P & S for getting these close ups. Might get one this weekend.

FTS

FTS

Here are a couple of FTS's. The water is starting to clear now after cycling for the past week or so. Added 10 mexican turbo snails to the 20 small guys and boy, did they ever clean things up in a hurry. Not to mention knock over everything in their path!

Tim, what did you use to secure the rocks in the columns in the back of the tank? Scape looks great - incredible looking tank! I thought you made a big mistake selling your other sfiligoi (well, not bad enough that I want to give it back : )), but I can see why....that XR-6 looks incredible. Can only imagine what those bad boys cost.

Looking forward to watching this tank grow out.

Ed, I think those shots are just with the 2 x Sfilogoi actintics and 2x ATI blue plus bulbs. No MH.

Thanks Craig. When you plan on getting the stealth up? Looking forward to seeing it in action on your tank. As for the structures, I used 5/8 acrylic rod and KZ superglue to secure the LR. IMO the KZ worked the best over the putty.

Craig, hope you are loving the new light man!

We used Acrylic rod and kz speed glue to do the aquascape.

And and for the XR6...Tim has friends like me to give him their Xr6 at a great price!
Its all good he is helping me with my new build!

getting slow in your old age maybe Rob?
Maybe a little! But still not as old as you Timmy :D

I should have the new light up early next week. The wife is out of town this weekend which means I'm going to redo my aquascape. Then I'll owrk on some sort of structure to hang the fixture from. Lots of projects! I'll definitely post some pics once it's all setup. It is a gorgeous fixture!

Have a good weekend guys!

Craig
