Ritteri foot wont change color over time, right?

I ordered the DD magnifica last week because the description said it has a purple column. Been looking for a purple foot ritteri for awhile. (DD not show pics of foot in listing). Received it, and its a brown foot. I contacted them, thinking that it's a mistake on their part, giving the wrong description . They responded saying that it will need time under intense lighting to get the color back to purple. What in the world?? The foot does not change color under lighting, does it? Heres a pic of what I received.

I doubt any type of "intense lighting" will change it to purple.

My mag was bought from LA. When it is super happy, the foot is deeper lavender color. When it is not happy, it has a faint lavender color. But it was never brown or yellow.

I have kept 3 or 4 Mags and have never seen a color change in the column. I think it is mislabeled. Nice green tentacles on your specimen though.

Yeah! That's what I was trying to argue with them about, that the foot color doesnt change , but they insisted otherwise...sucks. wouldn't have bought it had i known

You have already opened a claim you can always revisit it later. Just make sure to document the development of the anemone well, ideally, take a couple of pictures of it every day.
If it doesn't change color after two weeks I would contact them again and see what they say at that point.
