Hi, I took advantage of the CTARS discount at Air Water and ICE and purchased the Mighty Mite RO/DI system. With the shipping it came to $103.00. I will let the forum know my thoughts on the system once it arrives.

Update:

The Mighty Might is up and running and it is as promised. 1 gallon per hour 0 TDS. Easy to use on the fly as well. I put on my kitchen sink tap, run the drain line to the drain and the output to individual gallon containers and then just unhook it and put it away. Perfect unit for a small tank. I require 6 gallons per week for my needs and was able to get that in two nights after work.

sweet nothing better than making your own ro it gets old with the trips to bigy or lfs for water, glad to hear your happy I have a water general 100 gpd my life s alot more sane now.Just watch out for the overflows keep the container in the sink just in case.

Ill be honest look at soem of my old posts and I was against the rodi's and their waste ratio.....yeah now that Ill be doin 15 gal water changes......I love My RODI.....and the flowers love the waste....LOL

Wow, this sounds like a great, cost effective system. How expensive are the filters and how often do you have to change them out? Sorry, I haven't read up on this system at all.

I guess it is different for everyone. This is the official way to tell according to Don at Air Water and Ice

Depends on how well the RO membrane is doing. Basically, take the TDS of the water coming out of the RO membrane (before the DI) and divide 3400 by it. This should give you the approximate amount of gallons you will get of zero TDS water.

i haven't measured but it is considerable. I would have to guess about 5 to 1. I am going to measure this on my next production and see how I can salvage it and use it in the gardens. I have a well so I don't pau for the water but it is still wasteful.

I have my wast going into a 55g drum next to the cloths washer and have a pump just fill the washer with waste water for every load get about 3 or 4 loads when it is full
