RO replacement cartridges

I bought the 2-stage Captive Purity RO (35 gpd) unit some time back. I also bought some replacement cartridges for it. Recently, when I went to replace them, I found they would not fit.

I was told to order the .5 micron carbon block (RO1131) and 1 micron Microtec sediment filter (RO 1113). This was confirmed via email when I followed up on the issue. These are the replacements I have now, but they don't seem to fit this RO unit.

The first stage of the unit is too short for either cartridge, plus I'm not sure how to open it. The second stage opens up by just screwing off the end, but the diameter of the tube is smaller than the diameter of either replacement cartridge.

Are these the correct cartridges? Why can't I get them to fit?

Hi,

Thanks for your post. It sounds like there may have been some confusion and you were set up with replacement cartridges for the 3-stage or 4-stage RO (RO/DI) units.

For the 2-stage (BareBones) units, you will need the RO1135 http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=RO1135

It replaces one of the two canisters that you have. The 2nd canister is the TFC canister and does not have to be replaced for 2-3 years.
