Filters for awi reefkeeper rodi Rodin $40 shipping $16. Anywhere to get the cheaper? What filters do I need to ask for since no one but awi knows the correct filter! Or is it a standard size?

Does this work?
BRS 5 Stage Drinking & Reef RO/DI Replacement Filter Kit

Awi:

Stage 1 - Heavy duty, standard industry size 10 micron Poly Pro Sediment filter.

Stage 2 - 5 micron acid washed* Gem coconut carbon block filter, removing 98-99% of chlorine

Stage 3 - 1 micron acid washed* Gem coconut carbon block filter, that removes the remaining chemicals and chlorine.

Stage 4 - 75 GPD FilmTec membrane** removing up to 98% of TDS (Total Dissolved Solids)

Stage 5 - A full sized, high capacity, re-usable DI cartridge. This vertical color changing DI cartridge removes the remaining TDS missed by the FilmTec membrane. As the resin is used, the color changes. Once the color change is complete you simply install a new cartridge or buy our bulk resin and refill it.

Airwaterice moved to KS. Shipping for a set of $40 filters $18.

So is the BRS filters as good and will they work?

I usually buy my sediment filters, carbon filters, and membrane replacements on Ebay. I usually buy my DI resin from BRS. It's a good idea to replace your flow restricter on your r/o system when you replace the membrane.

If you want something similar to BRS then get the chlormaines kit. The coconut carbon base is just about the only thing that can remove chlorine right now.

You want the pore size on your sediment filter to be about the same size as, or smaller than, the pore size on your carbon block(s). Otherwise your carbon blocks will trap sediment rather than doing what you want them to do.

Why are you using multiple carbon stages?
