Oh no, don't even whisper Rod and stop breeding in the same sentence.

For those down the street from Rod, are all the babies from the same breeding pair? Or has Rod gone down a generation or two already?

Same here, my male never got his 3rd stripe but he still looks awesome!

My female does not have the 3rd stripe either, I knew it when I bought it... I like that and would think it would be cool to breed the stripe out totally... Honestly I like mis barred clowns, I think it makes them unique. I think Rods clowns seem to produce a fair amount with different patterns and I think it is one of the things that makes them so attractive.

What is weird about mine is the black changes.. I think sometimes it is based on food or lighting... I know some people feel a bta or even the background on the tank makes them change colors too. Mine seemed to lighten up when they started laying eggs...

thanks guys

i'm in canada but gonna try to work something out and hopefully i'll get lucky...my friend has his cites paperwork and everything so i just hope....something can happen but if not i'll sit and cry and dream some more..:(

Wow, these are nice clowns. Such consistency in coloring. Anyone know if these are available or when they will become available again?

I just started using the food and everything does go crazy in the tank. I saw hermits and snails come out of the rockwork that I didn't know were still alive.

i saw rod last week and he said he has 600 clowns ready for sale :)

I'll check out his site. So, these are $40 each with $60 s/h/i. About $180 a pair?

.edit. Oops, excused my math, that's $140/pair shipped.

i paid 158 shipped for my pair, 50 for each clown and 58 for priority overnight fedex. he has new pricing he charges 50 for clowns that have more color. but the 40 dollar ones really have just as much chance of developing full color as do the 50 the 50 dollar ones might just be older.

Ok I posted in this thread a LONG time ago saying my onyx is not coloring up. well now it starting to change little by little. So hopefully it gets the full color its been a year since I had it.

My newest one I got was from his left over's that had very little color. Its really coloring up pretty quick in my tank.. now if only I could get 2 of my stupid clowns to pair up!

Here is the newest one coloring up
