minh, around the beginning of this thread i believe there were four magnificas in this tank. i removed two, but the purple based one has been with me since the beginning.
at the beginning of this thread, the lighting for this system was a 400w radium. then in may of last year i switched to two AI Sols. i ran these for over a year before reverting back to a 250w radium. no real issues with the LEDs, growth was good. color was satisfactory. but i think i am much more satisfied with the halide.
i just need a few more choice SPS colonies and i will return to be satisfied with the look of the 60 gallon. as for the 45 gallon, now that the tricinctus are spawning, i wont make any more changes in their tank. my goal however, since the crispa is so incredibly large, is to introduce their fry once they are several months old back into this tank. i think the anemone is big enough and the parents mild enough that they could hide effectively but still be a part of the biotope. fingers crossed.
