Here's a pic of the 200 on my 90g for just 1 day...

it's in about 10" of water. i know the 250 cone owners said this was the optimum depth, not sure on the 200 but so far its running great at this depth. i'm also running the small intake on it.

Very nice~ OC CJ~

Do you like yours?

Thanks! I'm loving it. It's a huge improvement over my last skimmer which was an ATI BM250. This thing is just awesome. Nothing but good things here.

***UPDATE***

***UPDATE***

The 200's are in stock and shipping out the door today guys! I apologize for the delay. The freight company had these in hand for a total of 15 days including the weekends, which is ridiculous. Again, I apologize!

I'll have some side by side comparison photos of the 200 next to the 250 here in just a little while.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Here are a couple of pictures with comparison in size to the Alpha 250. Note the the extra feed port option Klaus put in here to move the pump around if the space is needed. This is the same option he puts on the Super Marin skimmers.

Jeremy, of the two nozzels it comes with which one pulls more air? The small one or the bigger one? I'm running the small one. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to install it. had to reverse the bigger fitting and slide it onto the small one.

Really? Hmmm, that's not what I had thought. My thinking was since the grey one had a smaller diameter it would pull less water which would increase the air to water ratio in the body. Maybe my theory is completely wrong here. They aren't marked by the length like the ones in the 250 model. I just put the red one in and the bubble density in the body is now much less.

Actually, I need to test one here to be sure. The more I think about it now the smaller diameter would pull the water more quickly, which is what determines the amount of air drawing through. Do you have an air meter handy by chance?

I have one left in stock, as a customer's card declined and we are waiting to hear back. If he doesn't take it then I will hook it up real quick to test on Wednesday.

Don't have an air meter but just gauging visually it appears the smaller inlet filled the body with bubbles whereas the red inlet at the same wedge adjustment can't reach the top and there are much less bubbles in the body. I'm going to let it run this way for an hour but I think the smaller inlet is the way to go on the 200's.

Hi Jeremy...

What about the 300's?¿ Are they come soon?¿ I paid mine in full 3 weeks ago and still waiting for it!!! every day more unpatience!!!

Have a good day!

2 more weeks for the 170's to land in the us? sounds like that means 3-4 weeks until they get to premuim and are shipped? i know its not premium aquatics fault, but thats a far cry from the original 2 weeks delivery for the 170, 200 and 300 posted on april 22 and the subsequent posting that the 170's would be "right behind the 200's". while RE makes a nice skimmer, their shipping promises fall far short of expectations and while i had a 170 pre-ordered i cancelled that and just placed an order for the warner marine k-2 instead of continuing to wait.

Are final specs available for the 200 yet?

What is the official footprint and height?

What is the rating for the 200?

I have a medium / heavy stocked 180 gallon and wanted to determine if this would be sufficient or need to step up to the 250.

Will the 250 offer the second input port moving forward?

UPDATE

The Alpha 200's and Alpha 250's have been released from customs and are on the way to us. We should be receiving these in 4 business days.

The Alpha 170's and Alpha 300's will be very close behind, in which I'll post an update here once I get a definitive date.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Now that the 200's are in, any word on the 250's?

I have not received any update on the 300's yet, only the 170's and 250's that I know are on the way. Did you pre-order the skimmer with us? The only time we charge ahead of time is if you are paying with Paypal, and you sent the payment over.

I understand that it's very frustrating, and I share that with the rest of you. If they land here in the US in 2 weeks, that means we'll have them in 3 weeks. I am only passing along information that is given to me when I update here.

Please do keep in mind that we are not dealing with mass produced Asian imported skimmers here. These skimmers are all precision made on top of the line cnc equipment, and hand assembled one by one once all the materials are cut. The best analogy I could give you here is that the Royal-Exclusiv product is a hand crafted Lamborghini that is made in small quantities and shipped from overseas, where your "other" skimmers on the market are assembly line produced Ford's that are made in mass quantities. That is not a slam on Ford by the way, as that company has supported quite a few of my family members. I feel that's a pretty good analogy to give you an idea of what we are dealing with here.

I can tell you that the US market is purchasing the same amount of Royal-Exclusiv skimmers as the rest of the world market is combined. That says a lot for what Proline and the resellers of RE have done for this product here in the US.
