Royal-Exclusiv Alpha Cone - 170 / 200 / 300 Announcement & Pre-Orders!

Hi Jeremy...

Yess I paid through PayPal...

I think that the only "thing" here that make this wait frustrating is that RE (i think) told to their USA distributors almost an exact time to receive/deliver the equipment, with that info you give your time to deliver to your customers but with the high demand of their products around the world they have not enough time to produce the skimmers and then every deal/buy/distribution is a delay for everyone!! now.. ok, when the demand of a product is high:

1- not give an exact time to ship/deliver
2- I supposed the maybe one or two weeks of delay is not a problem.. but three/four/five weeks... is a lot of time...
3- if you have not enough man for the hand craft work.. then you must employ people or you will have problems with the customers like macreefster that he deicided to chance the skimmer brand

Now.. in my own case.. around 3 weeks ago I paid the 300 in full and in advance thinking in around 2 weeks to receive the item... now with more than 3 weeks I'll not cancel the order.. I still waiting the skimmer like one of the first in Mexico City to buy and have one :P

If Lambo tell you an exact time to deliver your car Im sure you'll have it in that time... just remember... customer service and service in time is a must with every seller/reseller/distributor/men who offer a service/etc.

I know that this is not a problem from PA.. that's true and sure!! but I think PA must and need to deal with their distributors.. because PROLINE and/or RE has received the money, they sold their products and deliver when they can and the problems are left to PA..

This is what I see and think about.. and like I told after... I still waiting for my cone 300...

Please understand, we share your frustrations. However we do not charge any dealer for products that have not been shipped yet.
The issue with the production is same as what Jeremy stated, they are not mass produced, every piece is CNCed & hand assembled.
For hundred skimmers more than 2500 Pieces of Acrylic & PVC that has to be cut, then welded ,glued & assembled.
But I think the reason for hold up of releasing each new model was that Klaus has been testing different pump nozzles & needle wheel for each skimmer model & this takes time. he just does not release them to us until he is sure he has the best combo for that size pump/body.
As far as PA they have no control over this, they get the time line from us & you can ask Jeremy how many back orders he has for the skimmers & that goes for all our dealers, The Preorder deposit is just to make sure , serious buyers such as yourself would get your skimmer & we are not making a list of hundreds of people that might back out when the skimmers are here.
In the past we have released products with no notice & we got flammed why the dealer was sold out 5 hours after receiving their shipment & again the reason is the same thing they are not mass produced.
We appologize to everyone for the wait, but once a model is released, it will take less time to get the next batches & that is the situation with Alpha 200 & Alpha 250 right now.
With the 250s we had to wait 3 weeks extra after they were 95% finished just so Klaus changes the pump intake so it can support the interchangeable nozzles rather than one fixed nozzles.
The Alpha 250s were being tested 3 months prior to us making the announcement & they were working perfectly but this was a last minute idea that Klaus added to the design hence the longer wait.
I realize this might not change the fact that the wait has been long, but it is just to explain we share your frustration appreciate your patience & support. At the end of the day you can be sure you are getting a skimmer that works perfectly within the designed parameters, specs.
Thank you

Hi "Proline staff" (sorry I dont know your name)

I understand at 100% what you are telling about the inconvenience with this skimmers in particular... I just make one question...

You like the direct importer from Europe to USA and with the direct contact with Klauz J... why you dont tell to your resellers/customers what's happening with the skimmers?¿ modifications, problems with the equipment, problems with customs, upgrades, whatever... in order that they could tell to their customers whats happening and why we must to wait a little, a few days more... not only PA sell this skimmers... and Im almost sure not only PA have this kind of issues with the customers.. everyone of us, seller and customer, we need actual information about why we must to wait... if you and all the stores send an email or post here with the info about.. Im sure no one will post to ask "what about with..." "what's up with..." "when they'll be available" etc...

An informed customer is a happy customer... :D

Are any of the Alpha 200s still available for shipment?

We have more on the way. Give me a call at 317-895-9005 and we'll make sure we get the pre-order in so that you can get one on the incoming shipment.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Real world testing air draw numbers for the Alpha 200:

Small Nozzle: 1700LPH

Large Nozzle: 2000LPH

These numbers are in 9" of water. We are recommending you use the small nozzle for this skimmer unless you have a very heavy bioload and the skimmer is undersized to begin with. HTH!

Hi Jeremy,

Can I please confirm the actual details of the Vertex Alpha Skimmer 200 model. There are various threads here on RC and Zeovit.com with differing info and I'm confused. This is what I've pulled together. Is this correct?

Rated: 70-330G
Pump: Mini RD
Air: 1700LPH (small) 2000LPH (large) nozzles
Water: 1400LPH
Dimensions 25cm, 37cm (9.8"x14.5")
Height: 58cm (22.8")
Watts 25-30
Water Level: 8-9"

I've been in contact with Luke regarding overseas shipments over the past few weeks.

Regards
Andrew

Andrew,

You are correct on the details posted. The only thing that changed was the air draw numbers on it. This was a surprise to us as well, as we were anticipating 1500LPH and 1200LPH.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Great thanks for confirming the info and prompt reply Jeremy :)

Hi Jeremy,

Just out of curiousity that how much does it cost to buy a new Alpha cone 200 pump in case it goes bad? I know that the BK pump is always expensive, it costs almost same as a new skimmer.

There is no set pricing for a complete replacement pump at this time, only separate components. I can tell you that they are not as expensive as one would think.

I'm glad to see that as some morons have been pushing the argument : "Sure it's less expensive on the front end but wait until you have to replace a pump...after all, it's a RE product" Thanks for clearing that up, Jeremy!

The "competitors" are trying to use that as a sales tactic. The RD pumps for these skimmers are NOT going to be ridiculously overpriced like others are saying they will be.
