I got my Ruby Dragonet on saturday, drip acclimated him and let him into the tanks. i saw him eat some mysis shrimp and have slowly been trying to move him to a mix of mysis and pellets, but yesterday he didn't come out of hiding. I managed to net him to take a few pics, it looks like one side of him is kinda mangled and i have no idea how or why! any help would be appreciated.
I need to leave my house, so i could only snap one quick pic i'll try to get more when i come back.

I have a neon dotty back, pajama cardinals, an emerald crab and a few helmets and nassarius. The tanks is about 2 months after cycling, and it's 55 gallons

Oh my. A dragonet in a 2 month old tank is worrisome, but you said he was eating. I bet your dottyback is the culprit. How is he today?

^agree...the tank is extremely immature. Copepods take quite a few months to reach acceptable levels for this fish.

Possible starvation. Even if he's in the process of being trained to eat prepared food, he's still gonna be on the prowl for pods. A single dragonet can consume hundreds of pods a day.

are you sure you don't have your nitrates/nitrites reversed?

dottybacks can be extremely aggressive and my money is on that fish.
