I read every page in this build thread and it was very enjoyable until the fish started to die:-(. It's very sad to lose fish or even corals.

I'm only 7-pages deep, but wow, what a build! When looking for your new house did you have the enclosed tank/in wall idea in mind? That room you built is awesome, what a perfect floor plan to be able to implement something like that.

Its always the same whit the saltwater hobby Ryan, sometimes you have that feeling what am i doing:worried:whit my money and time.

I don't have many fish on my wishlist anymore, normal there are coming in the coming weeks some femeninus wrasses and it would be nice too get a few off these.

Thanks Luc. I saw your video on reef b uilders and it looked incredible. I view my fish as a collection and any great collection takes time and patience. What kills me is to continue to spend more money and time on fish I already bought!

This hobby give me sooo much frustration but a lot of gratification as well... What fish are you after next Luc?

Hi Ryan- truly sorry to hear about your losses , this hobby is sometimes very hard especially with delicate fish, i too just lost a precious crosshatch trigger. My condolences and yes it can be depressing but just keep in mind that nothing is permanent in this world and if you doing your best that is all you can do.

Thanks ryshark. I was looking at where to put a tank when searching for a home but it was not going to be the deciding factor. I was originally going to put it in the wall that is along the entryway which backs up to the garage. my plan was to enclose one of the bays of the garage to make a fish room. As it turns out, that wall is load bearing and a firewall so I wasn't able to do that. I looked at multiple locations throughout the house to find a suitable location and I think I found the perfect spot. The only problem is the limited space in the fish room. I now have a 20g QT, 36g QT, 75g qt, 75g frag tank, 90g sump and the display in the fish room as well as a workbench for all my fish activities! I really love the room and location because I can see it from the living room and it is in the sitting room of the house with the couch in front of it. This way it is a good place to relax and read. The family also like to sit on the couch and watch the fish eat in the evenings. Its a good way to calm down for bed!

I just logged on today to respond to some messages and I saw your post Ryan. I'm sorry to hear about your losses.

Did you post a recent FTS?
What is your current livestock list?

Cheers! :)

Sorry about the losses Ryan, on the bright side though your tank is looking outstanding. Your blue line is gorgeous.

Wow that is a lot of tanks in that fish room. Lot's of QT's; which makes me feel I'm doing something wrong, but no aefw or velvet for me yet. Knock on wood.
From the pictures I have seen, it does look to be a perfect spot; except you can't put a Christmas Tree in your front window for a few weeks out of the year... but who cares, that is minimal, there are always other spots for that. As you mentioned, I really like how it is its own little sitting room with a couch in front for chilling out yet it is still visible from other parts of the house too. Nice work!
That Ult. Rainbow Acro in your FS thread is sweet, those seem hard to find. For me at least, i've had my eye out for awhile. I will probably hit you up for a custom pack someday, for now I will be moving the tank soon and I'm holding off on additions.

Thanks Brett!

Your right, every time I get down because of losing a fish I think about all the great things I do have and it definitely helps.

Thanks. I really lucked out with how well it worked. I would love to have the fish room big enough for my mixing tanks and a sink so I didn't have to take everything to the garage but its no big deal.

I really like the Ult. Rainbow acro. it is a really unique piece and grows really well for me!

Wow!!!!! Simply beautiful. Great fts. I know you probably have already answered this, but at what temp do you run your tank at?
