I've inherited a near-death S. haddoni from a particularly awful "Big" LFS.
Currently the anemone is in a QT tank.... LR (I would rather have had it on a sand bed....), 70W HQI halide (very close to the anemone), ample flow...
I'm changing the water fairly often as the anemone has been emptying its stomach.
Is there anything else that I can do?
I'm assuming it is best to not feed the anemone for a while.
What about the photoperiod? I don't want to overwhelm the animal... it was under severely inadequate lighting.
When I took it from the store, it had a gaping mouth but was still attached..... attached in the bag in transport and attached within minutes to its new home.
It seems to go through good and bad parts of the day.... mouth closed and pointing to the light to mouth open and flaccid.... Here's hoping.
Thanks everyone,
