Salty Critters trip

i live in canton and a newbie. i just have finished with cycling of my 220g tank that i am planning for some LPS a few fishes and eventually an acropora dominated tank.


i am planning to go shopping for more corals at salty critters. anyone been there lately and how is the livestock there?

Currently looking for elegance coral, maybe a fish, coco worm and tiger tail cukes.


Current tank inhabitants:

Tubastera sun coral, favia, cyanaria and a maroon gold striped clown along with some tank cleaning crews.

I haven't been there in along time, when are you goin? Its such a long drive round trip 3-1/2 hr just in drive time let alone shopping! When you go down there let us know about their livestock!

i am planning to go thursday. So i will let you know what they have. i wish they would post it on their website. and atleast update it once a month. Witht he serious gas bill i was trying to find out if it will be worth a trip. Never been to the store. So i am kinda excited.

I was there a week ago and the coral and clam selection was great. They had a lot of things in. If you are looking for something specific then maybe give them a call to see if they have it in. In my opinion, no trip to the salty critter is a waste. You will always find something you want.

I was just there and I know they have an elegance coral, or they did if someone didn't snatch it, great selection, you're gonna love it

Give them a call and they will let you know what they have in stock. I called about clams late last week, and like someone said above, they had a great selection earlier in the week... but by the time I called I was told they were about picked clean.

I also live in canton, and with gas prices... it's cheaper to have them ship stuff. They ship UPS ground, with no sales tax, and you get it next day.

Also, they will ship live goods if you call and ask.

There's a few local reefers around here... if you plan on taking a trip up there, you should post and you may find yourself with a few carpool buddies.
