Schreiba's 83g Miracles Rimless [40x24x20]

Can I ask where you got your old light hanging kit that was on the ADA? I'm upgrading to an LED fixture soon, and would like to avoid trying to hang it from the ceiling

I used galvanized steel pipe, painted it black and used the right hardware to mount it to give it the industrial look.

Wow i am was amazed at your nano tank, one of the best ive seen!

Really nice work with the photography too. What lens and body do you shoot the macro's with.

I'll try and take some pictures this weekend! I did buy a 12 piece dimmable Rapid LED kit though and plan on installing it this weekend :)

Thanks Jettin, I appreciate that! I shoot with a Canon T4i with a Canon f2.5 50mm macro, I take most of my FTS with a Canon f4L 70-200mm.
Looking good. Very elegant and stylish. Love the contemporary stand and pulls.
Thanks jbraslins!
Time for some pictures now :) I'd love to see the whole setup ,tank stand and canopy
I'll take some this weekend I promise ;) I'll try and get some of the whole setup since it's pretty much complete now.

I know it's not the FTS you guys have been asking for but it is a new shot (only VHOs on)

Picked this and a new milli up a few weeks ago from Greenwich Aquaria. These acros seem to be doing much better than the acros I transferred over from my 60f. Although my pink pocci, green birdsnest, pink stylo, elkhorn monti, and green psammacora all are looking a million times better than they ever looked in the 60f. I wonder if the acros just took too much a shock from being dipped/quarantined for red bugs to back in the 60f with no sump to this tank.

Once I see some new growth and continued good color from these two new frags, it's going to be SPS shopping time for me though :spin1:

Nice coral shot; what camera and lens did you use to capture the colours under actinics? My old Nikon D70 cannot capture colours under LED's or T5 Actinics...Apologies if this has been asked in the thread before.

Thanks! I use a Canon T3i with a Canon f/2.5 50mm macro shooting in RAW format and with a tripod (for the FTS I use a Canon f4L 70-200mm). It takes a bit of post processing to get the colors close to as they look in real life with only actinics on but I do the best I can.

Thanks! I use Aperture and only really use the adjustments tab, nothing too fancy. And now that you say that it does look exactly like my green slimer but with blue tips :p

I know it's long overdue but here's a new FTS!

I know the frag rack is ugly and kind of ruins the shot but I need it for now while I'm deciding exactly where to glue down corals. The LEDs aren't on in this shot either hence the reason the ends of the tank still seem dark. I still need to get the dimming part on the apex working because the anthias freak out when the LEDs turn on and when they're at 100% it's not really the color I'm looking for. Let me know what you think!

I think the color is nice as shown. Looks like you have some nice corals going there. Are you dosing alk or calc? Also, what are you feeding the anthias and how often?

Thanks for the FTS!

Thanks Patrick! And yes I'm dosing ESV B-ionic two part with a Bubble Magnus doser. I also have the Avast dosing barrels which are awesome.

I've been feeding the anthias at different rates depending on when I'm home. I always try and throw some pellets in when I get home from work and then I've been feeding rod's food at night but I try and do it over the course of a few hours. These anthias will eat just about anything that goes in the tank too :)

That is going to be a beautiful reef display when things grow out, love your aquascaping and can't believe how clean it is - my tank's a pigsty in comparison lol.
Subscribed and look forward to seeing things progress.

Beautiful tank, can't wait to see what you do with all this space, your 60-P was awesome. I will be tagging along on this ride for sure. Good luck and keep it wet.
