On a serious note. I recommend going to Smart and Final to get the styrofoam insulated cups with lids. These do a great job of maintaining water temps within the cup. Good example is how long ice last when you get that soda in the styrofoam cup at that local non-chain burger joint. 2 years ago I sold frags at Reef-A-Palooza to kirstenk from Phoenix AZ. Considering that I cut the frags at 10 am, transported them from Norco to Santa Ana for the 11 am start time, then they left the event at 5 pm to head back on their 6+ hour road trip. The said the coral frags showed no signs of stress.

Seriously though, what time will the raffle be going on...and food? Is it going to be on the grill at 11am? Is there anything I can offer to bring...costco patties, etc?

Thanks Greg, its just that Ive never kept a fish/coral longer than 20 minutes in a bag after its been purchased seriously....


o yea one more thing!

Is this going to be an outdoor or indoor event. Ima need my suntan lotion and hat if its outdoor

SCMAS has the best rafles, even at their meetings they give out good stuff like RO units. Expect items worth hundres at the swap rafle.

The raffle is always at the end of any of our events. We cannot do it early because we want to sell as many tickets as possible. Usually food is served throughout the entire event. There is no need to bring anything as far as food goes. Food is included.

20 minutes is nothing! It takes longer than that for them to get to the LFS from the wholesaler. You will be fine. Corals don’t exhaust the supply of oxygen in the water as fast as fish do. Just remember that you will transport that coral with much better care than FedEx would if it was an online order.

It is an outdoor event so bring your sunblock!!!!!!!

Some will be there to sell, some will be there to introduce new product. I'm sure all the vendors with live good will be selling them.

In the past alcohol has been no problem but with the new venue I will have to verify if you can BYOB. I can say that the club will definitly not be selling nor supplying alcohol.
