Scotty & Tammy's 4x4x2 SPS tank

Scott your reef is one of the nicest I have seen in a long time. Great coral selection and the colors are absolutely fantastic.......WELL DONE!

My weekly procedures are as follows mate-

siphon the sump of any detritus,

Scott can you please share how you syphon your sump? Is it raised so you can use gravity or are you using a pump? I need to start doing this in my sump but am looking for ideas since gravity is not an option for me.

Thank you very much Greg :) I'm a fan of your tank too mate you have some amazing pieces!

All I use to siphon my sump is a piece of hose and a bucket, it's not raised at all I just start it siphoning the old fashioned way and slowly move around the bottom of each chamber so that I don't disturb any detritus. Hope that's of help Greg, I know it's not complicated but it works :)

i think we need a a new video mate :)

It's coming mate, I'm not the video maker that's far to complicated for someone like me :lmao:

Good stuff bud, I expect it to be better than the last one....the pressure is on:lol:.
Gee that's a lot of calcium, alk and mag but with all those SPS I'm not surprised. What's your procedure for changing the bulbs, do you do them all at once or over the period of days, weeks, months?

Hopefully it will be Fishy :) if not don't blame me blame my son, he made the last one and he's also making this one :lolspin:

Yes the tank does chew through alk, cal and mag. Changing bulbs I just keep a record of when they were changed and I only change a max of 4 at a time :)

:bounce2:To much chatter going on in this thread where's the pic update:uho:Dh2::wildone:

Hahaha Dan a new video update is coming mate, just waiting on my 14 year old son but trying to get him to finish something for me on a weekend is like :deadhorse:

Awesome can't wait:D. Thanks for sharing that Scott, I'm planning to change 3 at a time so it doesn't nuke the tank:lol:. Just tell him that there are a bunch of impatient internet reef keeping geeks and they want a new video:lol:. Scott what camera do you use for the videos and what editing software do you use?
