Your tank is as beautiful as ever, keep it up and thanks for sharing.

Thanks mate :)

Yes you are correct the G. Semifasciatus is a female. I've never seen one here in Oz either, my buddy at my LFS noticed her on a wholesalers list and ordered her for me before even asking me because he knew I wanted one or three hahaha
All my clams are T. Maxima

Thanks again :)

I ordered a female G. semifasciatus today. I will let you know how long it will take to get one.

Hi Scotty,

Happy new year.

My fish has been in my tank for two days. She eats really well. I posted some photos of her in my tank thread. She seems to have more yellows on her than your fish. Is it because mine is only a baby?

Best wishes

Hi strangers, happy new year to you all :) it's been a while between updates due to life being pretty busy with the new bubs arriving this Friday. I got 5 minutes to myself tonight so thought I'd post an update of some recent top down pics I took. Hope you enjoy!

Happy new year to you too mate :)

She's a beautiful specimen, yes that could possibly be the reason for the more prominent yellow marking :)

The first species is Ponape Birdsnest

Thanks Scotty. I tend to see everything in terms of Acros. I should have realised that it is a Stylophora sp.

How do you promote and maintain pink coloration? This is something I am making good progress on, but I am not 100% there yet. This is the best I can achieve at the moment:

Pink has always been a colour that just seem to work for me and the only thing I can really put it down to is my tube combo as I run a fair bit of red/pink tubes.

Cheers for that. My tube combination is exactly the same as your combination now, except that I use Blue + in the front and Coral + in the second slot from the front.

I did find though with my milli that the colours didn't really start to pop until the tank had matured a fair bit. I've never really paid any special attention or added anything particular for certain colours, the only colour I've always struggled with over the last couple of years has been purple. I put that down to the tank now running on the lower side nutrient wise.
