Sea Anemones and Lighting for Survival

Come on people! If I was a newbe and I posted info about my system and someone pointed out a potintial problem, even if I didn't ask about it, I would be thankful. Isn't this what we should be doing on this sight? Snapper1, one more thing you didn't ask about, research the species of anemone you want to keep before getting one. Some live in the sand (long tenticles)and therefore may not receive the light it needs from the bottom of your tank. Some will live on rocks so you could get them close enough to the light but are very hard to keep(Heteractis Magnifica/ Ritteri) I'm not saying that you wouldn't do the research just pointing something out. I'm glad to see that you are researching the whole lighting thing before buying another anemone. I have an aquarium with 5 longtenticles, 2 seabays, and one large green carpet, allong with a pair of clowns. It is incredable to watch the clowns bounce from one anemone to another. Once you get this set up right I'm sure you will enjoy your tank as much as my wife and I do ous

Lets all agree this thread ran it's course long ago, the question has been answered, and some of us need to step away from the keyboard.
