Just my luck it would be a $100 pump, thanks Karl.
The good thing is that my tank is so nutrient poor, it won't hurt me that bad to take a while to make up my mind.
I had a scare a couple of weeks ago, I got some sugar cubes and began throwing one in a day and at the same time starting feeding a concoction of Reef Nutrition, cubed mysid, cyclopeeze, DTs Phyto, and PE mysid.........
I got a LARGE surge of growth, almost could watch it.....it was so fast, the tips got exposed like reverse RTN from the top and was freaking me out..........everything grew about an 1/8" in one week both by encrusting and tip. The tissue finaly caught back up, but stuff grew so fast it appears to be bleaching and receeding.
The loinsetta that I got from Justin a while back looked white, but because of the coralite structure, popped new growth all over the base to make it appear that way.
freaked me out so bad I ended up buying another 6-5gal jugs (12 total now) and changing out 60gals.
In other discoveries, the no light for two or three days works well, most know about my hatred of Chemiclean. I was getting some Cyano.....in high flow, high light areas, so don't believe its low flow persistant by any means..........three days not light........GONE!!!!......along with other bad algae.......
This Sedra must have been putting out some heat, it seems my tank has been 1-2 degrees cooler the last couple of days..........but I did shift my lights to save money on electricity and cool it during the hot days. Heck, my heater was on yesterday.....hehehehe
