Seeking Advice - SPS in decline

Just a tad over 1000G.
Not sure where all that Iodine goes. 160ml per day is a huge amount…

Do you buy the 20L buckets?

For what it is worth, and for the record, it definitely appears that low iodine was the problem. The affected montipora have recovered substantially throughout the system after dosing began.

I've been dealing with this same issue on and off for a while....I guess I'm going to dose iodine and hope for the best. Strange how it seems to effect encrusting montipora starting from the center and going outward.

If it's only montipora that are being adversely affected, have you considered monti eating nudis? If this has already been brought up I apologize. I know I had them years ago and would not have known if it wasn't pointed out to me. They can be difficult to see.

I saved my similarly crashing SPS tank like this: all params were at great levels even after double checking. Nothing obvious could be blamed. Then I bought an ORP meter...How's 170 sound?
Remember, everything else was fine, except no PE, and general STNing. So, I simply took measures to increase ORP. I dosed hydrogen peroxide as per to rid the tank of diatoms ( I think it was 1ml/gallon/day.) Did two 10% WC's that week. And added a small amount of ROX carbon in a bag. It took 2 weeks to declare my tank saved. ORP now sits comfortably around 430. And I just use WC's to maintain. Look into your ORP.
This event was back in June, so no B.S all is well
