Welcome to the Serenity Reef tank journal.

A place where you can cast off the shackles of work and enter a world of wonder and thoughts far away from the daily grind. Enjoy :bounce3:

lol I'm excited but I saw the stand and thought my browser was broken when it wouldn't scroll down anymore!

Regardless I am subscribed!

The sump was not ready for delivery last weekend....
Should get the tank soon as well.
I finally received a photo from the tank builder last night.
There it is ... Simple , it's nice to see my concept brought to life.
One chamber of the sump holds top off water, the middle will house the heater, the skimmer and calcium reactor, the last chamber will be for our return pump and auto top off sensor.

Biscuit joined and clamped the timber together yesterday.

Made two side panels out of that and two doors today.

ATI 39w x 8 Dimmable
Custom production order since these days they all come hybridised with LED
Waited 6 weeks for her to arrive.
Enjoy!

Build is progressing nicely. You will love that fixture. I have the 10 bulb and I'm very pleased with it

Why could you not find a regular 8x39w sunpower? I didn't think it would be hard to find one with just T5?

Edit: Saw you got a dimmable.

Hahaha, I could not resist the temptation to have those sexy curves draped over the tank.
Had original plan to use Profilux for controlling the lighting but don't have that on the shopping list.
I won't be using the dimming function but would wish for it if I never had it....
There is an insight into the mind of an SPS keeper, speaking for myself I can only say I'm not quite well in the head, lol.

Cheers for stopping by this thread , I'll be sure to keep you updated with progress, in fact here is the next development ....

Looks great so far, are you going to put the wiring tangle on top of the chiller - that's where i'd put it.

Did ATI custom make that unit for you mate ?

Hi Biggles- cheers for stopping by!

The wiring tangle lives inside my power distribution unit that I made today.
And yes it goes above the chiller.

@Electrobes- No worries mate. Feels good to let a bit of OCD course through the veins every now and then.

@Sahin- cheers for subscribing.

@Biggles- yes the ATI was a special custom order, since they don't make Powermodules anymore. Well I guess they do if you ask! From what I read they don't do them in USA and no LFS has them in Aus.
As for the Aquarium it's a
900 x 620 x 500 Coast to coast. Made the frame bigger so the pipework drops into the frame.
