Serenity Reef

Very nice. Corals are looking healthy and encrusting well.
My gyres would always synchronize Shawn I tried to program them to alternate..
I finally bought a wave maker that controls them by simply turning them on and off in an alternating pattern. Works perfectly.

G'day Matt, Usernam and Flo

Cheers for stopping by guys, I came home yesterday to find one gyre 130 rotor stripped where the shaft joins the rotor. A quick change to the spare one supplied with the kit and it was back to work it went.

the good old problem with the gyre... wonder how something like that gets through product testing...

but with the new one the problem should be solved!

Let me share progress photos from when I received my frags to present day.
I hope you enjoy.
This one I would like an ID pls.

Cheers for the kind words Flo, Ryan and Matt.
Hit the two month Frag milestone today - to celebrate this achievement I've decided to go all out and clean the coast to coast wier.
Since the Siporax media hit the five month mark of wier life some investigation into the mind of a mad man is required.
No bacteria dosing for 5 months N and P remain 0

So after all that I was surprised to find how little detritus was in the wier. A very thin layer and a bit more on the left hand side where I was grabbing the Siporax out.
Time to siphon that out!

I retract the above comment . There was a heap of detritus in the bucket after I gave Siporax a good shakedown and rinse

I went on to clean the sump free of detritus catching it in a sock.

I'll start syphon gravel cleaning during the week when I've made more water. 60 litres water change done today.
