well i ran across a new RR 72bowfront for $199, so me and my wife jumped on it! So opinions wanted please!
im thinking maybe a mag 12 (or 9.5) for a return? allglass states 600gph for the megaflow system , so with headloss should be ok.
also would you buy the allglass megaflow plumbing kit or just buy bulk heads and fabricate a pvc stockman plumbing?

probably buy a oversized ebay skimmer, probably can get one rated for 125g-150g for around $100 i also saw a coralife 125 for 125$ localy if memory serves, not sure though. I havnt heard a lot of good things about the coralife skimmers though

Have a electronic 175watt MH ballast laying around so just need one more.
still pondering acitinics, I have been using 2 PC 96watters for years sucessfully but have been pondering t5 or VHO for the new setup
And finaly!
Has anyone seen plans for a bowfront stand anywhere? I have looked everywhere! Thanks for any thoughts you may have to offer!

I run a mag 12 on my 72 bow with the AGA overflow kit ( came with the deal when I bought it) works fine. Had a mag 9.5 in the beginning. Not enough flow. You can buy 4 or 5 different styles and colors of stands and hoods for 72 bows from the tank makers. You may also see stand listings for 90 Bowfronts. Same tank as yours just taller, so the stand / canopy will fit as well. I can direct you to custom stuff if you decide to go that way.

thanx for the info!, looking to save some coin though and build myself.
so a mag 12 will be just fine? I just saw someone on here selling one.

Thanks again!

You can get a Coralife Skimmers much cheaper than what you stated. I personally got a CLife 220 for $80 from a fellow reefer on RC and since that time I have seen other postings for 220's and 125's for similar. prices.

As for the plumbing, I did mine myself for the reason that I figure I would make changes to a stock one anyways and I do plan to make changes to what I have done already once I get a new sump.

Good luck with your new tank setup, I am sure you will find the help or opinions here on RC that your needing.
