Some last photos before the 40 breeder comes down.

Here is my shallow reef submission. There have been some smokin' tanks in this thread.:smokin:

You're out.. the club has made an unanimous decision that the max height is 20" tops. Good luck joining the tall tank reef club

fair enough  no need to be so happy about it though

Yes, it will a downsize. The focus now will be on quality, not quantity. ;) With my upcoming travel schedule and such, a smaller tank will be more manageable. Plus, I can now put the new tank in my movie/gaming area. :D I also like the fact that the new tank will be viewable from 3 sides as opposed to the one sided view of the in-wall I currently have. Personally, I am never going with an in-wall setup again. In-wall restricts your view(Unless you have 2 sides visible) and makes it harder to work on(at least for me it does).

As soon as Derrick from Miracles gives me a call I will be driving up to Toronto to pick up the tank. I figure I will pickup the tank and continue onto Niagara Falls. You know, make a weekend of it. :p

The only thing that sucks is the tank may sit empty for a month or so because of the move.

I am positive that in the future, I will once again venture into a large tank. But for now it is just too much work! :hmm4: :hmm4: :hmm4:

Downsizing a bit? I love your current tank.

I just ordered a 72 x 30 x 26 LWH tank from Miracles a couple weeks ago. Can't wait to get it. I had a couple acrylic tanks locally built to serve as a frag & fuge tanks. I suppose the frag tank qualifies as a shallow reef (18" tall).

....Famous last words??

I'm with you on more viewing angles than one. I originally planned to go rimless, but the thought of all that humidity in the house drove me away. I can always view it from the other angles in the fish room.

I also agree with your movie/gaming area. In fact, just in case I ever get bored with my tank, a little push of a button will cause a motorized screen to come down in front of it for a projector/home theater system to excite. :D My basement isn't huge, so I had to take advantage of the space I have to work with.

Must be nice to schedule the trip to Toronto. It'd be a good excuse to see a friend in Toronto, but somehow I don't think I could fit the tank and stand in our Edge and make it through customs.

What are your plans for your current livestock?

I just barley made it in then, 36x24x20, 75gallons. Made by oceanview in Mississippi, and should be here in about 8-10 weeks

I have similar dimensions on my tank too! Its 36X30X20. So far I absolutely love these new dimensions and so does my tang and wrasses. I'm going to be posting info on my set up as soon as I get to the stage where I have corals in there and thriving, which should be in the next month or two hopefully:)

I'm just about to start up this tank. I will be taking down my 65 gallon and moving over to a 103 gallon 60"x20"x20".
