How is your midas blenny doing in your tank? Mine is currently in a 30" tall tank and loves to swim towards the top in the water column. I was concerned mine would not be happy in my new 20" tall tank and I see you have yours in a 16" tall tank. I was going to move mine to another tank, but maybe not now ...

This is absolutely fantastic. The length of the tank is great, giving you a great deal of space to work with. It looks so much like a natural patch reef. I like the limited amount of rock and it is one of the most natural looking tanks I have seen. Once the corals fill in it will be even more of a marvel! Great job! Pic 2 is my fav. Love the schooling fish on the right!

Im setting up a 50G 36 x 18 x 18 soon gonna be building two of these breeder tanks.

He's been doing fine. Like yours, he also sticks to the top 1/4 of the tank. However, I'd say 90% of his time is spent perched in a hole high up on the rocks overlooking the rest of the tank, and he occasionally mixes it up with the Bartlett Anthias.

They're great fish... definitely have a personality all their own as well.

Though I would give this wonderful thread a bump....

I thinking of going shallow. What are the stand heights that most of you are using? Most of the stands I've seen are around 28", seems kind of short considering the tank is only going to be 16 in tall. Thanks

Depending what you're after - where are you going to view it, sitting down/ standing up, etc

Most shallow tanks cabinet are between 36" to 43"

Hope that helps.... :p
