My name is Jay and people have always called me jaybird. Even people that didnt know about it would suddenly call me that, like I was wearin a name tag or something.lol. I was born in 69.
 
Had a good friend about 8 years ago would call me Robamus... Dont know why, but we all seemed to get nicknames from the guy. We all got to be good friends playing Quake 3 for hours among other things. Anyhow, he died some time back but the name stuck...
 
I think mine is fairly obvious however I meet people all the time that are clueless until I say it out loud. P-B-4-U-GO-OUT Not sure why I chose it originally, I was 9, but it has been with me since the dawn of AOL some 18 years ago. I was rockin American Online for DOS in 1991...shibby :)
 
I used to own a '91 and '94 Eagle Talon TSi/AWD. So I came up with the talon4x4 when I used to frequent the Eagle Talon message boards. I've been using it for about 10 years now. :D
 
My second Porsche was a 944 Turbo...I waited most of my life to buy the car. Even bought my dad a b-day card with one on it when I was in first grade. Finally got one when I was 19 using money I had made in the stock market - yay internet bubble. It was 10 years old by that point, but only had 12K on it....red.

The company's internal designation for the car was the 951.

I still own that same car - only 30K miles on it and I still luv it.
 
Mine is also fairly simple Last name starts with Q and any time I win at something, I ask "Who's your daddy!!??" So friends have called me daddy for a long time and I added the Q.

Momma said I wasn't very smart!!:D
 
All my friends shortened my last name from Wilson to Wils and 25 was Danny Manning's number when he played for the Jayhawks.

Mine came from frustration some years ago when trying to set up a netscape email account. I couldn't come up with anything to do with my name that didn't have 4 or more numbers after it. I tried for an hour before I was ready to give in. I said to myself "This Is Peeing Me Off... (although the word peeing isn't really what I said) so I took the acronym of what I said and plugged it in and Viola... it went through. I have used that for public emails and user name ever since!!!!! : )
 
I work for a environmental consulting company as a taxonomist that specializes in crustacea. Discovered and named some new ones.

I noticed that what you have stated in your interests is also your job. thats pretty rare. congratulations, youre livin the dream!
 
Jbird, the dream would be to dive on exotic coral reefs and collect crustacea. I just get them preserved in formaldehyde and they are sorted out of mud and sediments. I do however get some deep sea ones where no man could dive. Maybe I get 1/2 the dream. Cheers!
